Ceist:206 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Defence if there are positions vacant for panel beaters at the cavalry workshop in the Curragh or in other workshops within the Curragh; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25928/01]
Written Answers. - Cavalry Workshop.
There are no plans at present to fill any positions for panel beaters in the armoured section, vehicle base workshops, logs base Curragh (formerly cavalry workshops). However, a number of panel beaters will be taken on in the new transport section of the Defence Forces Training Centre, Curragh, following the relocation of the transport group from Clancy Barracks, Dublin, to the Curragh. Clancy Barracks is due to close in December 2001.
