Vol. 543 No. 2

Written Answers. - Registration of Title.

John Perry

Ceist:

652 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 180 of 18 October 2001, he will ascertain from the Land Registry office when an application by a person (details supplied) was received; when the application will be completed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25983/01]

I am informed by the Regis trar of Titles that this dealing refers to an application under section 49, acquisition of title by virtue of long possession, of the Registration of Title Act, 1964, which was lodged on 20 March 2000, not March 2001, as previously inadvertently advised. I understand that due to their complicated nature, applications under section 49, which require detailed examination of claims for

registration as owners, can take some time to process.

I am further informed that queries issued to the lodging solicitors on 26 October 2001 and the application cannot proceed until these queries have been satisfactorily resolved. However, I assure the Deputy that, on receipt of a satisfactory reply, the matter will receive further attention.

Michael Finucane

Ceist:

653 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will expedite an application by a person (details supplied) in County Limerick for registration of property. [25991/01]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this dealing refers to an application for a transfer of part which was lodged on 23 August 2001. I am further informed that queries issued on 31 October 2001 to the lodging solicitors and that the application cannot proceed until these queries have been satisfactorily resolved. However, I assure the Deputy that the matter will be dealt with as soon as possible after a satisfactory reply has been received.

Michael Ring

Ceist:

654 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if the deeds for a person (details supplied) from County Roscommon are located in the Land Registry office; if so, if they will be returned; and if there are dealings outstanding on the folio. [26051/01]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this dealing refers to a charge and right of way application which was lodged on 13 April 1999. Dealing No. D1999CR002344M refers. I understand that this application is in the final stages of completion and, subject to no queries arising, should be completed within the next two weeks.

Michael Ring

Ceist:

655 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when a dealing will be completed for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [26052/01]
