795 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Education and Science if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 468 of 23 October 2001, he will acknowledge that payments made to temporary or part-time teachers during the summer months are paid on time; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26371/01]
Temporary whole-time and eligible part-time teachers who are on my Department's post-primary teachers payroll receive their salary on a fortnightly basis as normal during the summer months. I am not aware of any temporary or part-time teacher on my Department's post-primary payroll who has not been paid all moneys due to him or her in respect of the 2000-01 school year.
If the Deputy has a particular case in mind I will have the matter investigated if she provides me with the details.
