871 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education and Science if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 311 of 27 March 2001, he will outline the progress which has been made; and if funding is now available towards the transport costs referred to. [27010/01]

Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods):

In view of the circumstances of the children from this particular area, a review of the request for financial assistance towards the cost of school transport was undertaken. As soon as the review is completed the Deputy will be informed of the outcome.
