148 Mr. Perry asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if applications by persons (details supplied) for work permits have been received; if so, when the applications were received; when decisions will be made; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [25984/01]
This question relates to ten work permit applications, eight of which were received by work permits section on 8 October 2001 and two on 17 October 2001, respectively. Assuming that the application is completed correctly and is otherwise in order, and also, taking into account the high number of applications that are being received by my Department, currently running at over 1,000 per week, normal processing time will take approximately eight weeks.
