Vol. 543 No. 5

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Tony Gregory

Ceist:

335 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 1 and the length of the waiting lists for cataract treatment in the Mater Hospital; the steps he is taking to reduce those waiting lists and waiting time; and if medical attention can be arranged for this person. [27901/01]

Responsibility for the provision of health services to persons living in County Dublin rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has therefore asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
