Vol. 543 No. 5

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Bernard Allen

Ceist:

342 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if he proposes to make the necessary finance available for new wards, theatres, intensive care unit and casualty as well as an increase in nurse and medical posts and bed numbers at Mallow General Hospital, County Cork. [28043/01]

Responsibility for the provision of services at Mallow General Hospital rests with the Southern Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer at the board to examine the issues raised by the Deputy and reply directly to him.
