363 Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he intends to issue any policy guidelines in relation to the disposal of toxic ash from incinerators; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27516/01]
The operation of a thermal treatment facility for waste requires an integrated waste licence from EPA and the management of all ash residues from such a facility would be subject to appropriate controls in that context. Policy guidance within this framework is most appropriately a matter for EPA.
