Ceist:459 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will transfer a person (details supplied) in County Cork to a prison in the midlands. [27835/01]

I have no objections to this offender transferring to a midlands prison and his name will be placed on a waiting list. Priority is being given to transfers from Mountjoy Prison to allow for refurbishment and it may be some time before this move takes place.
