469 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of violent crimes ending in death reported in the 12 months to date and each of the four preceding corresponding 12 month periods; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28049/01]

I regret that I have been informed by the Garda authorities that it has not been possible in the time available to obtain the statistics in the format requested by the Deputy. I will contact him as soon as the figures are available.
