Vol. 544 No. 2

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Ring

Ceist:

77 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive the remainder of various payments; and if a third party involved has been paid the amount due. [28338/01]

The person named is due £894.64 under the 2001 area-based compensatory allowance scheme in respect of 16.46 hectares of mountain type land at £45 per hectare and including an additional sum of £153.90 under a compensation package agreed with the European Commission for farmers experiencing losses under the 2001 area-based compensatory allowance scheme. The additional sum is equal to 90% of the difference between the average sum of the headage payments under the 1998, 1999 and 2000 headage schemes and the amount payable under the 2001 area-based compensatory allowance scheme. The person is also due £114.61 as a second instalment under the 2001 ewe premium scheme and £909.19, which is an 80% advance, under the 2001 suckler cow premium scheme. Payments amounting to £1471.15 will be diverted to the ACC bank under the terms of the court order served on 13 September 2001. The balance due to the person named will be paid as soon as possible.
