Ceist:

110 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Defence the services, medical or otherwise, available or applicable to members of the Defence Forces who are in receipt of military disability pensions; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31865/01]

The Army Pensions Acts provide that a person in receipt of a temporary award of a disability pension may, as a condition of its continuance, be required at the expense of the Minister for Defence to undergo such medical examination, treatment or surgery as may be directed by the Minister. The Acts also provide that the Minister may supply to a person to whom a wound pension or gratuity has been granted such surgical and medical appliances as his-her case may require.
