263 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when detailed application forms will be available regarding the criteria governing the distribution of the remaining seven million gallons of milk quota under CAP reform to members of the milk rights group; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1047/02]
The eligibility criteria for the scheme to allocate 32 million litres of milk quota to milk producers who satisfy certain criteria were announced on 20 November 2001. Application forms have been available from my Department and dairy co-operatives since that date. The closing date for applications is 28 February 2002.
The scheme will allocate quota to eligible producers whose initial allocation in 1984 was low due to certain circumstances.
