Vol. 547 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

John Perry

Ceist:

283 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason a person (details supplied) has not received a REP scheme payment for 2001; if payment will be expedited; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1422/02]

Payment issued to the person named on 9 January 2002.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Ceist:

284 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason an area aid payment for 2001 has not been made to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1433/02]

The position is that a person who owns land in a disadvantaged area but who is not farming the land himself does not qualify for area based compensatory allowance. It is understood from correspondence with the person named that he is not farming the land himself but has let it to another farmer.

Jack Wall

Ceist:

285 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he will re-examine an application by a person (details supplied) in County Kildare to ensure that the full payment is made in relation to the area aid application; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1499/02]

The person named over-declared set aside on her 2001 area aid application. As a consequence her overall payment was reduced to 6,174.60. A balancing payment of 5,098.27 will issue shortly.
