Ceist:

329 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has received full entitlements under the area based payments and sucker cow premium schemes for 2001; and the details of the person's claim. [2133/02]

The person named was paid 1,360.75, £1,071.68, under the 2001 area-based compensatory allowance scheme on 25 September 2001 in respect of 15.31 hectares of more severely handicapped land at 88.88, £70, per hectare. This compares with his average payment of 1,280.18, £1,008.22, under the old animal-based headage schemes in the three years 1998, 1999 and 2000.

The person named applied for premium on nine cows under the 2001 suckler cow premium scheme. Payment of 1,484.29, which is his 80% advance entitlement on nine animals, issued to him on 26 October 2001. The 20% balance payments are due to commence shortly.

Ceist:

331 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has not received an area based payment. [2135/02]

As stated in my reply to Parliamentary Question No. 100 of 7 November 2001, the person named furnished an incomplete 2001 area aid application in that he did not include maps for two new parcels of land on which he is claiming area aid.

The herdowner was contacted in order to clarify the precise location of these particular parcels of land and a response was received. This information is now being entered on to the Department's electronic database. When the area aid application has been fully processed and found in order payment due under the 2001 area-based compensatory allowance scheme will issue.
