Ceist:562 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a medical card was refused in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if the case will be reviewed and a card issued. [1773/02]

Responsibility for the provision of a medical card in this particular case rests with the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
