610 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the identity of the appeals officer for the past 12 months in the Western Health Board; if this person still holds the position; and if not, if the position will be advertised or filled. [2112/02]
I wish to advise the Deputy that the employment of the appeals officer is a matter for the Western Health Board in the first instance. In the circumstances, my Department has forwarded details of the Deputy's question to the chief executive officer of the board and requested that she contact the Deputy directly on the matter.
