Ahern asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of radiographers employed in the Eastern Regional Health Authority area over the past seven to eight years; the movement in waiting times for a routine x-ray over that period; his views on the definition of an acceptable delay; the details of delays for the various Dublin hospitals; his further views on whether a 16 week delay for a simple x-ray is acceptable; the penalty being considered against inefficient hospitals; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
