688 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Health and Children if an application has been received from the Midland Health Board to receive approval for the appointment of a project team to develop plans for the replacement of St. Mary's Hospital, Mullingar; the date on which this application was received; and if he will provide an updated report on this matter. In a faxed letter dated 17 January 2002 to my Department, the Midland Health Board sought approval for the appointment of a project team to prepare a brief for the services to replace St. Mary's Hospital, Mullingar. The request is under active consideration at present.
