739 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will make funds available to Tralee Town Council to allow it acquire a premises in Tralee (details supplied) in order to alleviate serious traffic congestion at Matt Talbot Road and High Street Junction. [1559/02]
The maintenance and improvement of non-national roads in their area is the responsibility of individual local authorities such as Kerry County Council and Tralee Town Council, as is the selection and prioritisation of works to be undertaken under the various non-national road grant categories.
No application for funding has been received by my Department from either Kerry County Council or Tralee Town Council for the carrying out of road improvements at the location referred to.
