Vol. 547 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Cecilia Keaveney

Ceist:

1063 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation when a club (details supplied) in County Donegal will receive a payment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2404/02]

A grant of 101,579, £80,000, was allocated to the club in question under the 2000 sports capital programme operated by my Department. Under the terms and conditions of the programme, the club is required to execute a deed of trust. The deed of trust will provide, inter alia, for a refund of the grant in the event of the facility not continuing to be used for the purpose for which the grant was allocated. The Chief State Solicitor's office and the solicitors representing the club are dealing with the execution of the deed of trust and I understand that the process is almost complete. The payment of the grant will be made when the deed of trust has been executed.
