1068 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation if he has received an application form for a grant under the recreational amenity grant scheme from an organisation (details supplied) in County Cork; when these grants will be allocated; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2566/02]
The sports capital programme for 2002 was advertised on 25 and 26 November, 2001 with a closing date of 4 January, 2002 for the receipt of completed applications. As the application form from the organisation in question was not received in the Department until after the closing date it cannot be considered for funding under the 2002 sports capital programme. The organisation has been advised accordingly.
