Written Answers. - School Transport.
A school transport service was made available for the pupil in question. However, I understand that this service had to be withdrawn because of difficulties experienced by the pupil travelling on the service.
In August 2001, my Department approved a transport grant towards private transport arrangements for the pupil. My Department has no record of a request for a taxi service from the family in question. I will arrange for my officials will contact the family to establish whether suitable transport arrangements are in place for the pupil.
