133 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources if the Dublin Port Company has withdrawn its application for a licence under section 10 of the Foreshore Act, 1933; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1286/02]
Dublin Port Company has not withdrawn its application for permission, under section 10 of the Foreshore Act, 1933, to reclaim 21 hectares of the company's foreshore at Dublin Port.
As I explained in reply to Dáil Question No. 18 on 8 February 2001, that application cannot be considered further until an environmental impact statement, meeting statutory requirements, is supplied by the company. No such environmental impact statement has yet been received by my Department.
