Ceist:134 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources if a grant will be approved for the Sea Rescue Centre, Ballybunion, County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1287/02]

I have approved a grant of 126,973.80 for the community inshore rescue service – CIRS – building in Ballybunion, County Kerry, subject to certain conditions regarding ownership of the site.
Payment is dependent on these conditions being met. The matter is a subject of correspondence at present between the Chief State Solicitor and solicitors for the grantee.
