165 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason a departmental official has not called to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo to resolve the issue of a ewe premium for 1998. [7653/02]

Following on my reply to Question No. 93 on 7 February last the re-examination of this case has now been completed and arrangements have been made to have all outstanding amounts due under the 1998 ewe premium and sheep headage schemes paid shortly. Notification of this decision issued from my Department on 26 February last.

166 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if a suckler cow premium payment due to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath will be made immediately; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7654/02]

The person named applied for premium for 13 animals under the 2001 suckler cow premium scheme. Payment of his 100% entitlement will issue within the next ten days.

167 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the forestry payment entitlements of a person (details supplied) in County Mayo; the number of years this person has received payment; and the number of years left in this person's plantation contract. [7656/02]

The person named is in receipt of an annual forestry compensatory allowance of €800.11, £630.11 in respect of 8.5 hectares at €94.13, £74.13 per hectare. He has received 14 instalments to date, and is due six further instalments over the next six years.

168 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim will receive a REP scheme payment. [7704/02]

The application for payment was received on 13 February 2002 and is being processed in accordance with the targets set out in the protocol on direct payments to farmers.
