Vol. 550 No. 2

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Rory O'Hanlon

Ceist:

253 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Health and Children the dates on which the orthopaedic hospital in Navan was closed since 1 January 2001; the reasons for the closure; the arrangements being made to ensure that patients are not seriously disadvantaged with waiting times; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7608/02]

Responsibility for the provision of hospital services, including orthopaedic services, at Monaghan General Hospital rests with the North Eastern Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to compile the information requested by the Deputy and to forward it to him directly.
