Responsibility for the provision of services at Monaghan General Hospital rests with the North Eastern Health Board.
My response of 14 February 2002 to the Deputy on this matter advised that the chief executive officer of the board had been asked to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly. I understand the board responded to the Deputy on 18 February 2002.
