Written Answers. - Sports Capital Programme.
In the revised Book of Estimates for 2002, a total of €37.414 million has been provided for the payment of grants in respect of sport and recreational projects in communities throughout the country and approved under the sports capital programme administered by my Department. This represents an increase of 39% over the 2001 provision. In addition, the 2002 provision for my Department's local authority swimming pool programme is €15.312 million, an increase of 89% over the 2001 Estimates.
