403 Mr. Fleming asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the number of sub-areas designated under the urban renewal scheme in each local authority; the number of projects completed; the number under construction; the number in the planning process; and the number expected to be completed before 31 December 2004. [8114/02]
The urban renewal scheme was launched in February 1999, and some 536 sub-areas have been approved for designation under it. A breakdown of the total number of designated sites is set out as follows. My Department has asked local authorities to submit progress reports by the end of March and when the material has been collected a copy will be sent to the Oireachtas Library.
