451 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands further to Parliamentary Question No. 31 of 27 February, whether the commitment of a local contribution for the Cill Rialaig project was taken into consideration by the independent committee which selected the projects to receive grant aid; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands (Miss de Valera):

Confirmation of a local contribution for the Cill Rialaig project was received in my Department after the independent committee established by me to consider all eligible applications had completed its work. Therefore, this could not be factored into the committee's deliberations.
