645 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Education and Science the position regarding the application for a classroom assistant for a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8121/02]

Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods):

I am pleased to advise the Deputy that my Department approved the allocation of special needs assistant support to cater for the care needs of the pupil in question on 22 February 2002.
