216 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when beef premium and suckler cow grants will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8630/02]

The person named submitted one 2001 special beef premium application listing a total of 75 animals for premium. Advance payment totalling €8,160.00 issued dated 8 November 2001. The balance of 20% will issue in April 2002.

Advance payments issued to the person named in respect of slaughter premium 2001 for 16 animals. Some five of the animals slaughtered were heifers that also qualified for the national envelope slaughter premium top-up payments.The person named applied for premium for 28 animals under the 2001 suckler cow premium scheme for small-scale milk suppliers. His 80% advance payment issued on 4 December 2001. A query has since arisen regarding the milk quota held by the person named. The district livestock office is seeking clarification on the matter. The application will be processed further on receipt of this information.

Payment for €27,934.24 issued to the person named under the scheme of investment aid for farm waste management on 8 March 2002.
