308 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Finance the position regarding the old Garda barracks, Church Street, Wicklow town, County Wicklow, which a company (details supplied) are anxious to secure a short or long-term lease on in order to open a community arts centre; if this company can be granted this lease; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Garda authorities have recently informed the Commissioners of Public Works that they wish to retain the former Garda station, which is located directly behind the current station, for future expansion in Wicklow.
