311 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Finance if his Department will rectify the flooding problem at locations (details supplied) in County Limerick as a result of the embankment being breached and the adjoining lands being flooded. [9252/02]

The Commissioners of Public Works have no responsibility for maintenance of the embankments in question nor do they have powers to undertake emergency repairs to them.
