325 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Meath is awaiting a bed in Temple Street Children's Hospital for ear, nose and throat surgery; if this matter can be expedited; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8352/02]

Responsibility for the provision of hospital services to residents of County Meath rests with the North-Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the health board to investigate this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
