Vol. 550 No. 4

Written Answers. - Speech Therapy Service.

Gay Mitchell

Ceist:

414 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children when a speech therapist will be appointed to St. John of God School, Chapelizod, Dublin 20, to fill the vacancy created in April 2001; the measures he intends to take to remedy this gap in the children's training at this vital time in their development; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8984/02]

Responsibility for the provision of services to people with an intellectual disability and those with autism in the Dublin region rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
