639 Mr. B. Hayes asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he has made it known to An Garda Síochána that persons with a licence to shoot foxes and rabbits can shoot such animals at night time further to a ruling made by the Department of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The issue raised by the Deputy in relation to the hunting of foxes and rabbits by night is more appropriately a matter for the Department of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands, which should be in a position to clarify any ruling on the matter.
