412 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he has received the review produced by the gardaí on the revision of Garda divisions; if he will reiterate his commitment to retain the Roscommon-East Galway division; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9807/02]

Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. O'Donoghue): I am informed by the Garda authorities, who are responsible for the detailed allocation of resources to individual areas, that research and consultation on aligning Garda divisions is not yet complete and consequently no decision has been taken yet by the Garda authorities to recommend change.
