23 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the discussions she, or her Department, have had with An Post regarding the agreement to offer AIB services at automated post offices; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [10491/02]
Neither my Department nor I has had discussions with An Post in relation to the company's agreement with the AIB. At the time the agreement was announced, I congratulated An Post and welcomed the additional business for the post office network where it is anticipated an extra two to three million transactions per annum will be generated. Any operational issues pertaining to the implementation of the agree ment is a matter for the board and management of An Post.
