Minister for Defence (Mr. M. Smith): As I indicated in my reply to Parliamentary Question No. 91 on 28 March 2002, I have decided to dispose of some land at Gormanston Camp, County Meath, to fund equipment purchases for the Defence Forces. The military camp area consisting of 57 acres approximately will be retained. The future use of the lands being sold will be a matter for the purchaser in consultation with the local planning authority.
