223 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he will arrange an immediate review of the application for grant aid under the scheme of investment aid in alternative enterprise by a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny. [11941/02]
The named person submitted an application under the alternative enterprise scheme to the local farm development office in Kilkenny. This application was rejected as the necessary planning permission was not granted and there was a discrepancy between the area of land declared for area aid and that on the alternative enterprise application form. The person named has been informed in writing of the reasons for rejection. In the event of the named person submitting a fresh application, with the required documentation and amendments, the application will be re-examined.
