391 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo awaiting a tonsillectomy will be called to Galway for treatment; and the way in which he can preside over a health service which ensures that this person is absent from school more often than in attendance due to ill health. The provision of hospital services in this instance is the responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply directly to you.
