Ceist:456 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to the shortage of funding for the disabled persons grant scheme in County Donegal; and when further funding will be made available. [11806/02]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 455 and 456 together.
My Department has not been made aware of a funding shortfall for the disabled persons grant scheme in County Donegal. Local authorities receive a total combined annual capital allocation from my Department in respect of the disabled persons grant scheme, the essential repairs grant scheme and house purchase and improvement loans. The 2002 capital allocation for Donegal County Council will be announced shortly.
