Minister for Defence (Mr. M. Smith): The position is that the issue of DPM uniforms to An Fórsa Cosanta Áitiúil commenced in February 2002. There are sufficient uniforms of this type in stock to permit issue to all enlisted members. This uniform was worn in public for the first time by all marching troops of An Fórsa Cosanta Áitiúil on the St. Patrick's Day parades.
