89 Mr. Dukes asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources his views on whether a member of the board of An Bord Iascaigh Mhara (details supplied) is conflicted as a consequence of the role he plays in an organisation (details supplied), which may qualify to receive grant-aid from Bord Iascaigh Mhara and as a consequence of his connections with commercial activities in the fisheries sector; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The individual referred to by the Deputy has not been a Director of BIM since the expiry of his term of office on 23 April 2001. BIM has long established and rigorously enforced procedures and codes of conduct for appraisal of projects which apply inter alia in cases of actual or potential conflicts of interest.
