107 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the amount of moneys committed to Counties Cavan and Monaghan in each year since 1997 for the provision of water and sewerage services; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12274/02]
Expenditure on major water and sewerage schemes included in my Department's water services investment programme is recouped to local authorities by the Department on foot of eligible payment claims submitted by authorities in respect of individual projects. Annual block grant allocations are made by the Department to county councils in respect of the devolved rural water programme. Expenditure incurred by the Department on that basis in respect of water and sewerage schemes in Cavan and Monaghan is set out in the following tables.
