69 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the reason Bray railway station was not included as one of the 20 stations in the station renewal programme being undertaken by Iarnród Éireann; if she will ensure that Bray station will be included in view of the fact that it is the second biggest station on the DART suburban line; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The matter to which the Deputy refers is a day-to-day operational matter for Iarnród Éireann and I have no statutory function.

I am informed by Iarnród Éireann that the programme referred to was intended to allow for the extension of platforms at certain stations to handle eight-car DART trains. As Bray station can already handle such trains, it was not included in this programme.
