73 Mr. McDowell asked the Minister for Defence if, in regard to the Estimates of receipt and expenditure for the year ending December 2002, he will give details of the projected receipt of £50 million from the sale of State property; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12406/02]

Details of estimated income to be generated in 2002 by the sale of Department of Defence properties are as follows: sales have been agreed at the prices indicated in respect of the following properties: Devoy Barracks, Naas, County Kildare –€9.27 million; houses at Orchard Park, Curragh Camp –€1.9 million; land at Collins Barracks; Cork –€1.52 million; land at Sarsfield Barracks; Limerick –€1.14 million; Castleblayney Barracks, Monaghan –€0.76 million; land at Waterford Military Barracks –€0.63 million. It is envisaged that an income in excess of €50 million will be generated by the sale of Clancy Barracks, Islandbridge, Dublin 8 and Murphy Barracks, Ballincollig.
