My Department recently accepted an offer for the sale of Clancy Barracks, Dublin. A contract of sale has not, as yet, been completed.

Ceist:170 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Defence if the parishioners of Islandbridge can use the garrison church on Clancy Barracks until this site is sold; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13873/02]
My Department recently accepted an offer for the sale of Clancy Barracks, Dublin. Officials of my Department met with the parish priest of Chapelizod, and following from this it was agreed that the interests of the churchgoers in the Islandbridge area would be conveyed to the new owners in due course.
